I decided to do some bookbinding. These two are my first efforts. Very basic but the person I gave them to was very happy with them.
Outback cardstock for the covers. The compass is made using a mask and walnut ink.
The other one is outback cardstock and Basic Grey Granola paper to form a flap around the edge.
Both have plain copy paper for the pages.
I plan on making some more medieval inspired books but I need to do some more research and hunt up some materials.
The perfect combination - a cold day, warm laundry and a cold cat!
I finally got the top for this quilt done!! I've never had so much trouble with a border as on this quilt. But I think it was worth the effort. Next step is to get the plain squares marked for quilting. Then basting and then quilting.
