Just to clarify, I'm not a huge fan of death metal. It was just that compared to the Icelandic entry, the Finnish death metal looked good. And besides, it's Eurovision, when all pretense of good musical taste is put aside to wallow in the kitchness, the drama and the drunken Irish commentary of Terry Wogan.
My main problem with the Icelandic entry, which was promoted as an act within an act, was that it was flagrantly taking the piss out of Eurovision AT Eurovision. This is an act of sacrelige and the job of the television public! It just wasn't on.
