Duchess Set

I picked this kit up at the craft fair. It's a duchess set, with centre piece and two small doilies. The lady who ran the stall also told me you can use a winged needle to get the holes around the edge for crochet. She was very nice.

Aw that is so sweet! I have dozens of crinoline lady doilies and cloths to be embroidered, but many of them are so old they have long since lost the pattern sheets, so I have no idea what stitches or colours were meant for them. Just have to use my imagination!
BTW Jane, I did see that peacock on eBay, but as I already have a runner with that design (albeit different colour scheme) I didn't bid for it. Thanks for thinking of me though!
