All the silver background is done. From the start, one problem appeared. The transfer pen I was using shows through the stitching. Not so bad on the outside edges, but very noticeable on the stem that goes up the centre. So I decided I needed to cover it somehow. So I have used a yellow silk in stem stitch to follow the pattern. The gold imitation Jap thread will then be worked over this.
